4 Ways to Wear Boyfriend Jeans

4 Ways to Wear Boyfriend Jeans - Real Girl Glam

Whether they’re light or dark, destroyed or faded, boyfriend jeans should be a must-have in your closet. They’re one of the most versatile pairs you can own (along with white denim). I am always coming up with new ways to wear boyfriend jeans! They can easily go from work (depending on your office, of course!) to weekend.

While you’ll most often seen stylish ladies pairing the boyfriend jeans with heels and dressier blouses (which is a favorite of mine as well), another way to wear boyfriend jeans that I also love seeing, is dressed down with flat sandals or Converse/Keds sneakers. Jennifer Aniston does this look so well! It’s perfect weekend wear.

Styling Tips… No matter what way you wear your boyfriend jeans, there are a few things to remember when buying and styling them:

+ You want them to be relaxed and slightly baggy, but still show your curves and fit in the waist.
+ Belts are your friend. They cinch in the waist and keep the jeans from going too sloppy.
+ Look for a pair that has a worn-in look. Slightly destroyed is great too, if that’s your thing!
+ Whether it’s sky-high heels, a lace top, or a statement necklace, add a feminine touch.
+ Boyfriend jeans should be rolled just high enough to show off the ankle but not your leg. Avoid the capri pant look!

Let’s Go Shopping… Here are a few pairs of boyfriend jeans I’m loving right now, under $100.

  1. This post is exactly what I need considering I spent 30 min looking Pinterest for styling tips for boyfriend jeans!!!!! Love it! Gonna rock some this weekend in savannah!

  2. I wish I looked half this cute when I wore boyfriend jeans….instead it draws attention to the fact that I don’t have much of an ass! I need something a little more fitted but I always love how it looks on other people.

  3. I’ve been wanting to get a pair of boyfriends for a long time, but I always balk in the fitting room. I’m a curvy girl (not plus size, but not skinny either), and I’m afraid they make me look too bulking. Maybe I need to just buy some somewhat cheap ones and try to make it work. I know a structures jacket on top would probably help, but your tip about the belt has got me thinking too. I don’t typically wear belts, and I certainly didn’t try boyfriends on with a belt whenever I’ve tried them, but maybe that would give me the waist definition I need. Thanks!

    1. I know for me, finding the perfect boyfriend jeans took trying on a few pairs. My perfect pair is from the LC Lauren Conrad line at Kohls. I also totally agree with you about going structured on top is you’re worried about bulk. Try a great white blazer and a hot pair of heels!

  4. Great post! I’m a big fan of boyfriend jeans. (In fact, I’ve been posting boyfriend jeans on The Styleseer all week and better move on soon…) Congratulations on being featured in IFB’s Links a la Mode this week.
